Kaimahi Hauora | Support Workers - Porirua

We're seeking reliable, compassionate, and proactive Support Workers to join our team in Porirua. If you're available for shifts one day every weekend, live locally, and have your own transport then we'd love to hear from you!

👥 Who This Role Suits

• Candidates living across the wider Porirua area (Whitby, Titahi Bay, Aotea, Paremata, Plimmerton, Pukerua Bay, and Cannons Creek, Johnsonvile, Tawa)

• Parents looking for mahi during school hours

• Students at Whiteria or local Wānanga seeking evening, Saturday and/or Sunday work

• Support Workers and Professionals looking to complement their existing hours

🧡 About the Role

You'll be working one-on-one with our Kiritaki | Clients, helping them maintain independence and actively participate in their communities. This may include assisting with personal care, daily routines, mobility, household tasks, and community engagement.

We also have opportunities for short-notice cover shifts, perfect if you're flexible and can be available at short notice cover.

✅ What We're Looking For

• Live in the wider Porirua region

• Willing and able to attend on-the-job training and complete required online modules

• Available for at least one weekend shift per week

• Have a full driver's licence and reliable vehicle

• Entitled to work in Aotearoa | New Zealand

• Honest, adaptable, and motivated to learn

• Strong communication skills in English, with a commitment to respecting and valuing cultural diversity

⭐ Nice to Have (but not essential)

• Qualification in Health and Wellbeing or similar

• Experience or understanding of supporting individuals with injury or disability
