We're looking for Support Workers (Kaimahi Hauora) to join our team at Drake Medox, supporting an active client with complex needs. If you're someone who's energetic, reliable, and keen to make a real impact, this could be the role for you. You must be physically fit and able. This Role is for Saturday shifts with some Sundays and school holidays.

About the Role

You'll be working one-on-one with a client who's living life to the fullest, with a bit of extra support. Your day might include helping with personal care, getting out into the community, and supporting independence at home.

What You'll Be Doing

• Daily Support: Help with personal care, mobility, meals, and keeping things running smoothly at home.
• Community Connection: Support your client to get out and about-whether it's appointments, social outings, or hobbies.
• Teamwork: Work closely with our clinical team and coordinators to make sure everything's on point.
• Empowerment: Encourage independence and help your client live life their way.

What We're Looking For

Nice-to-haves:

• Experience supporting people with spinal cord or brain injuries
• Understanding of disability and injury-related support needs
• The right to work in NZ (we can't sponsor visas)
• Full driver's license
• NZQA Level 2 Health & Wellbeing Certificate (or working towards it)

Must-haves:

• Great communication skills
• Respectful, proactive, trustworthy and reliable
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Clean police check
