We are seeking a experienced Kaimahi Hauoras/Homecare Support Workers for our client in Ashburton!

About the Role

As a Support Worker/Kaimahi Hauora, you'll be at the forefront of providing essential support to our client with a spinal cord injury in their home and within the community.

We are looking to fill the below shifts each week:

Tuesday 0900-1500, Thursday 0900-1500

With the possibility of night shifts 3 nights a week Monday, Tuesday and Wednesdays 2100-0900 for the right person.

What You'll Do

• Assist with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation. Assistance with medication, mobility assistance, and daily household duties.
• Build meaningful relationships with Clients/Kiritaki and their whanau/family.
• Assist our client to access community resources and activities.

What We're Looking For

Preferred:

• Previous experience in homecare support or in a similar role
• Strong communication abilities in English
• Respectful, adaptable, proactive, professional, active and trustworthy.
• Understanding of the unique challenges and needs associated with people living with a long term injury or disability

Essential:

• License and Vetting: A full driver's license, a clean police vet result, and satisfactory references.
• The right to work in New Zealand: We cannot sponsor visa's.
• Based in the Ashburton region with reliable transport
